CNC Hot Jobs: Machinist, Operator & Setup

A busy machining and fabrication shop in Central Texas, about 40 minutes east of Waco, is hiring for several CNC roles. All positions are full-time and on-site. These are hands-on, shop-floor roles focused on setup, operation, and holding tight tolerances. They are not dedicated programming roles.

• CNC Machinist (Waco, TX area). Set up and run CNC lathes and vertical/horizontal mills, make minor code edits at the machine, and inspect parts with precision tools. 2+ years of hands-on CNC experience. Pay based on experience and machine proficiency. View job and apply

• CNC Setup Lead (Waco, TX). Set up machines for production: programs, tooling, fixtures, and offsets. Verify first pieces and troubleshoot setups. 2+ years of hands-on CNC setup experience. View job and apply

• YCM vertical mills, Haas and Mori Seiki CNC lathes, Y-axis and sub-spindle lathes, 3 to 5 axis vertical mills, horizontal mills, horizontal boring mills, and plasma tables
• Fanuc and Haas controls
• Autodesk Fusion 360 (CAD/CAM) and JobBOSS ERP
• Materials: aluminum, brass, copper, and plastics
• ISO-driven production environment

• Hands-on CNC lathe and/or mill setup or operation experience
• Able to read blueprints and technical drawings and hold tight tolerances
• Comfortable with calipers, micrometers, and precision inspection tools (bring your own measuring tools)
• Authorized to work in the United States, with reliable transportation to the on-site facility
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
