Encompass Health seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist to deliver evidence-based rehabilitation in our inpatient hospital. You will evaluate patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to restore function, mobility, and independence. Responsibilities include therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, patient and family education, and accurate documentation. Perform comprehensive PT evaluations and formulate individualized treatment plans Provide therapeutic exercise, gait, balance, and functional mobility training Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team to coordinate care Document assessments, goals, and progress per regulatory and payer standards Utilize assistive devices and technology to improve patient outcomes Participate in discharge planning and recommendations for post-acute services Maintain a safe therapy environment and follow infection control protocols Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives Mentor or support PTAs and students as appropriate Orthopedic and neurologic physical therapy techniques Gait, balance, and transfer training Therapeutic exercise prescription and progression Functional mobility and ADL retraining Inpatient rehabilitation documentation and EMR proficiency Patient and family education skills Use and fitting of assistive devices (walkers, canes, wheelchairs) Pain management modalities (e.g., heat, cold, e-stim per policy) Interdisciplinary care coordination Outcome measurement and goal setting Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent accredited PT degree Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience with inpatient rehabilitation preferred Knowledge of Medicare and insurance documentation standards5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
