As an LPN/LVN at Encompass Health, you’ll provide hands-on nursing care to patients recovering from major illnesses and injuries in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Working within an interdisciplinary team, you’ll administer medications, monitor patient progress, support therapy goals, and reinforce education for patients and families. You’ll practice in a collaborative, patient-centered environment that values compassion, clinical excellence, and integrity, with access to specialty training, mentorship, and clear pathways for professional growth and advancement. Provide direct nursing care to rehabilitation patients under RN and physician direction Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Monitor, document, and report changes in patient condition Support and reinforce therapy and rehabilitation goals in daily care Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and recovery expectations Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems and follow clinical protocols Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to update individualized care plans Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient transitions Participate in ongoing training and quality-improvement initiatives Patient assessment Medication administration Wound care Care planning Vital signs monitoring Electronic medical records (EMR) Rehabilitation nursing techniques Infection control IV therapy (as allowed by state) Patient and family education Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active LPN or LVN license in state of practice BLS/CPR certification ACLS preferred Experience in rehabilitation, med-surg, or post-acute care preferred5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
