A growing, private equity-backed organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to help build and standardize its accounting operations across multiple business units. The company has more than doubled in size and is continuing to integrate acquired businesses. This role will focus on improving processes, implementing systems, strengthening internal controls, and building a scalable shared services function.

Responsibilities

• Standardize AP, AR, cash application, and accounting processes across multiple entities.
• Lead process improvements, systems implementation, and ERP optimization.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure GAAP-compliant accounting practices.
• Support acquisition integration and transition businesses to standardized accounting processes.
• Partner with operations and sales to improve purchasing, order entry, shipping, billing, and vendor/customer setup.
• Oversee shared services operations, including AP, AR, payroll coordination, cash reporting, and reconciliations.
• Lead and develop a growing shared services team.
• Support month-end close, audit preparation, and multi-entity reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership.
• Experience in a multi-entity or shared services environment.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, reconciliations, internal controls, and month-end close experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing accounting systems, processes, and automation.
