Budget Manager – Not-for Profit (OPWDD, SED & DOH exp pref’d)

We are currently seeking a self-motivated Budget Manager (not-for-profit) to direct the agency’s budgeting process which includes providing financial analysis of new and existing programs and projects. Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, you will work directly with Program Directors and Fiscal Directors including the CFO.

In this position, you will:

 

  • Maintain internal fiscal controls for the agency’s budget.
  • Prepare and assist in presenting the agency budget to the finance committee (Board) for approval.
  • Monitor and report compliance to various administrative personnel.
  • Review and revise agency’s policies and procedures relating to the budget with the CFO.
  • Prepare formal variance analysis of Budget to Actual reports for incorporation into the monthly financial reports.
  • Analyze rate and volume variances relative to budgeted revenue and manage statistical reporting.
  • Monitor and perform financial analysis of all agency programs to help identify major areas for revenue enhancement and cost reduction and communicate results with agency directors.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual CFR cost report.
  • Prepare analysis of CFR report and identify fiscal impact. 
  • Assist in the preparation of pricing packages to OPWDD for new programs and rates.

 

We require:

 

·       Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required, Master’s degree preferred.

·       Minimum least seven (7) years of related work experience to ensure familiarity with budgeting principles, business planning and current trends.                                                         

·       Knowledge of Finance and Business Plan models.

·       Familiarity with SED, OPWDD & DOH clinic reimbursement methodologies.

·       Proficiency in computerized systems, spreadsheet development and databases.

·       Strong analytical and verbal/ written communication skills.

·       OPWDD, DOH, and SED budgeting experience a plus.
