Overview:

Employer is a world-recognized aerospace and defense leader providing propulsion and energetics to its space, missile defense, strategic, tactical missile and armaments customers throughout domestic and international markets. We are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team in Redmond, WA. This is an individual contributor role that will independently negotiate and administer complex contracts.

 

Employer - Redmond Operations is located approximately 16 miles east of Seattle in the city of Redmond. Redmond has a population of about 47,600 and is home to many other high tech companies. Seattle is known for many things – scenic mountain ranges, beautiful waterfronts, multicultural events, outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and kayaking, sports, coffee, music, art and much more! Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):

Under very general direction, independently determines approach to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts and practices. Performs the following type of activities:

 

50% - Negotiates and administers relatively complex contracts.

 

10% - Evaluates the terms/conditions of contracts to assure they comply with Employer policy.

 

10% - Provides solutions to problems involving moderate complexity.

 

10% - Participates in management reviews of contracts. Conceives and plans projects involving the development of new approaches and methods to attain objectives.

 

5% - Execute contracts and certificates on behalf of Employer.

 

5% - Develops and recommends Employer policy on contract issue.

 

5% - Provides input to department objectives and long-range goals. Keeps current within area of specialty in support of project assignments.

 

5% - Represents the organization/Employer as the prime contact on assigned projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordinative activity across organizational lines.                                          

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and 6 years of directly related experience including experience negotiating and administering sales contracts with US Government and prime contractor customers or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

US Citizenship Only Required. Dual Citizenship does not meet job qualifications. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).

 

Must have experience in the aerospace industry, working knowledge of contract laws and regulations including UCC, FAR, TINA, CAS, etc. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, customer focus, negotiation skills, and an ability to work effectively on teams.

 

Experience with international sales contracts and ability to understand written and oral communications in a foreign language are desired.
