The primary function of this position is to oversee the construction activities of the field foreman and field workforce in assigned market(s). Manage all aspects of Safety, Quality Control, and Productivity for assigned area/market(s).





  1. Work with Market and Project Manager(s) to identify manpower needs for assigned market(s) or functional area.

  2. Provide manpower projections to and in the intervals and format requested by the General Superintendent.
  3. Work with General Superintendent on the sourcing of potential candidates for all positions from Foreman through Apprentice
  4. Actively participate in an outside entity, organization, program, association, technical/trade school, etc. that provides value to the industry while creating a source of future field workforce for Corbins Electric.

  5. Perform interviews as requested by the General Superintendent and make recommendations for hire.
  6. Ensure Corbins on-boarding processes are adhered to including appropriate safety training provided prior to new employee starting work.
  7. Provide project or site specific training and orientation to new employees as required for assigned area/market(s).


  1. Ensure field evaluations are performed on all craft level employees monthly at a minimum.
  2. Review field evaluation to ensure quality and accuracy and provide coaching for foreman as needed.
  3. Follow up to ensure that monthly development commitments are being carried out by foreman and tradesman and provide facilitation as necessary to assist in meeting these goals.
  4. Work with General Superintendent in the development of professional development plans for Foreman and Field Crews.
  5. Perform evaluations of Foreman monthly, at a minimum.
  6. Work with General Superintendent to mentor Apprentice level employees on career development and provide direction and coaching through their program requirements.
  7. Issue disciplinary action as necessary. Review and sign off on disciplinary actions issued by foreman under your charge


  1. Participate in job walks as requested by Project or Market Managers and provide complete and accurate information.

  2. Participate in take-offs or other estimate preparation activities as requested by Market Manager.
  3. Participate in the review of project estimates as requested.


  1. Participate in the Project Plan Development for all projects in assigned market(s).
  2. Assist in the development of production tracking systems for each project.
  3. Work directly with Market and Project Managers to develop a staffing plan for each project.
  4. Lead the development and implementation of project specific safety plans as required for all projects in assigned area.
  5. Lead the development and implementation of project specific quality control plans as required for all projects in assigned area.


  1. Train foreman on production tracking system and ensure proper execution.
  2. Work directly with engineering, prefabrication, and field support functions to ensure process compliance and standards by all project teams.

  3. Ensure all foreman have information necessary from project management teams to execute their work assignments efficiently.

  4. Provide on-site coaching and training for field crews and field leadership on company and industry best practices, standards, and requirements. (i.e. NEC, NFPA 70E, company policies and procedures) Provide training to foreman and assist in the evaluation of project progress for analysis and reporting of percentage complete – or cost to complete.
  5. Work with General Superintendent to maintain a competitive composite labor rate relative to the areas and markets of Corbins work.
  6. Ensure all field documentation is completed timely, thoroughly, and accurately by all foreman under charge. Review and add information as necessary before transmitting. Provide coaching and training for all foreman on the importance of proper execution of all field documentation


  1. Work with the General Superintendent, Corporate and Site Safety Director(s), and Safety Coordinators as assigned to projects in area/market in the implementation of Corbin Electric’s safety standards, policies, procedures, and training.
  2. Provide coaching, training, and guidance to Corbins field crews on all matters related to job site safety.
  3. Respond to incidents or near misses in assigned area and work with Safety Director and General Superintendent to provide leadership and guidance through reporting, correction, and resolution of all issues.


  1. Assist in the development and implementation of Corbins’ quality control standards and practices.
  2. Provide coaching, training, and guidance to field leadership and field crews on quality control standards.
  3. Ensure all company and project specific quality control standards are adhered to on all projects in assigned area.


  1. Always promote a positive company image to the field leadership and workforce at Corbins Electric.
  2. Ensure that the field leadership within you area(s) of responsibility promote a positive company image to the field workforce
  3. Voice any issues or concerns you have with company processes, policies, or leadership to the General Superintendent or their direct manager.

  1. Develop and maintain positive relationships with on-site customer representatives.

  2. Promote Corbins Electric in a positive light at all times when dealing with customers, trade partners, subcontractors, and other industry professionals.
  3. Ensure professional resolution of escalated field related issues and customer satisfaction.
  4. Carry out other initiative and perform other duties as requested by General Superintendent, Operations Manager, or Executive Leadership Team.
