A Day in The Life

As the Marketing Event Coordinator, you will plan and execute marketing events and tradeshows to support business goals by generating qualified marketing leads and nurturing existing leads and customers. You will plan all event details, from securing a venue, logistics planning, executing promotional marketing initiatives and success analysis for continuous event (process) improvement. Each day you will:

  • Use independent judgment to initiate, plan, and execute marketing events and tradeshows
  • Identify, assemble and organize event/tradeshow requirements.
  • Prospect venues, negotiate pricing, prioritize event logistics, ship marketing materials, set up Salesforce and Marketo campaigns, pay invoices, track ROI and communicate event details to sales and marketing team.
  • Identify and manage project timelines and deliverables within budget
  • Create and manage mailing lists to promote event.
  • Develop content to promote events through social media and email campaigns
  • Analyze event success and proactively provide feedback on how to improve future events.

What You’ll Need to Win!

  • Bachelor’s degree (or 5 years’ relevant experience or combination of education and work experience) required
  • At least two years of experience in marketing event management
  • Application of WordPress, Salesforce, Marketo, and Hootsuite in a Mac environment
  • Strong business and marketing acumen
  • Results oriented, driven to support sales goals through successful event planning and execution
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and superb organizational skills
  • Proactive self-starter with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
  • Team player that is collaborative with marketing and sales team
  • Flexibility with the ability to creatively resolve unforeseen issues quickly with limited resources/budget
  • Availability for domestic travel for up to 3 events a year required
