The Lead Application Support resource is responsible for the support, analysis, documentation, upgrade(s), Qualys scan remediation, disaster recovery execution and the full understanding of system component configurations and infrastructure in place to support the respective systems.  Additional responsibilities include executing project deliverable efforts involving application software or infrastructure upgrades while ensuring that company standards and policies are adhered too.  Identify and raise system identified risk exposure to processing within the organization as well as providing system risk evidence when requested.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Trouble shooting the respective application configurations as well as other underlying configurations such as the database, file transmissions, file share permissions, system processing ID's, scheduled tasks, infrastructure issues, IIS and application functionality
  • Engage with teams to manage/un-manage servers based on server patching/upgrade maintenance
  • Manage application services
  • Implement software upgrades/hot fixes
  • Participation and planning of application disaster recovery exercises and DR test execution
  • Perform testing when required in the respective Dev/QA/Production regions
  • Manage and maintain application architecture documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Manage and maintain application troubleshooting documentation
  • Interaction with end users/vendors and internal teams
  • Analyze, debug, support, and on occasion modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs
  • Adhere to the established lifecycle methodology, support standards, and practices, in accordance to project plans while carrying out their responsibilities.
  • Provide 24/7 support


    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • Self-motivated
    • Experience trouble shooting and supporting applications and the respective configurations
    • 3 + years in an application support environment role
    • 3 + years working knowledge of Windows 2008
    • 2 + years of Power Shell scripting
    • 1 + years using DB2 or SQL relational databases
    • 1 + years configuring file share permissions
    • 1 + years working knowledge of Active Directory
    • 1 + years working with Autosys
    • Ability to work within a team and individually as needed
    • Must have the ability and aptitude to manage multiple applications
    • Must have the ability to multitask, with a positive attitude and the desire to excel
    • Experience in a Financial Services IT setting

    Optional Skills/Experience:

    • Ability to support Web Services a plus
    • VB Scripting a plus
    • Experience in a Financial Services IT setting
    • Business process knowledge in one or more; Check Processing, Document or Item Image Capture, Item Exceptions, or Returns
    • Knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle a plus

    Educational, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience

    Hours & Work Schedule

    Hours per Week:  40 +

    Work Schedule: 5 days
