Indirect Loan Processors serve as a liaison between the Indirect Finance Network and the credit union.  Loan processors are responsible for processing various loan applications, gathering background information and analyzing application information submitted by dealerships/merchants.   Processors are also responsible for submitting payment to dealerships/merchants and balancing Indirect general ledger accounts.   All loans funded are also audited for accuracy.  Lead Loan Processors will also assist in Managing the performance of the other processors and conducting internal audits of completed loan files.  Leads will also be required to assist the buying department when needed by underwriting incoming applications and maintaining dealer relationships. 

  • Underwrite all indirect loans in accordance with goals and standards for the department.
  • Process all dealer payments, and balance IP’s GL accounts.
  • Audit loan files and dealer contracts.
  • Contact dealer and member for verification and fraud protection.
  • Verify member has insurance on new purchase.
  • Enter all member information into information systems and submit payments to dealers.
  • Lead Processors will assist in the day to day operations of the Department, including mentoring others and managing performance of the Loan Processors.
  • Other duties as assigned 


The ideal candidate is one committed to exceptional service with at least one year experience in lending industry with emphasis on servicing/processing. Above average knowledge of non-real estate lending is required.  Candidates should also have:

  • Knowledge of Dealer indirect financing process.
  • Strong Organizational skills and multi-tasking skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to build rapport, answer questions, and resolve problems.
  • Telephone Communication skills
  • Strong numeric aptitude and analytical skills
  • Ability to analyze information with attention to detail and recommend courses of action
