As a Supply Chain Manager at Employer you’ll lead an expert team of analysts coordinating vendor assessment routines and execution.  This is an excellent opportunity to work for an industry leader and provide consistent excellence to colleagues and stakeholders.

The Vendor Assessment function adds value by providing specific business line assurance on vendors, in relation to data protection, customer, financial and reputational risks. You will lead partners closely with business lines in order to plan the scope of the assessment, conduct the review and then classify relevant findings for entry into the enterprise risk register. This will include managing relationships with the business and vendors, providing robust and challenging insight on business risk and on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control processes in place.

In addition, you will manage the delivery of assurance reviews, providing opinion on the quality of the vendor control environment including identifying issues and subsequently assisting the business to agree any appropriate action plan to mitigate the risk. As a key member of the leadership team, this role holder will partner with enterprise policy owners to ensure that control sets maintain currency and tackle an ever changing threat environment.

Detailed responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Manage a team of analysts to complete reviews of vendors with the focus on high risk consumer regulations such as GLBA
  • Stay abreast of industry trends with regards to information security, cyber security, and vendor management practices
  • Coach and provide feedback to analysts on the quality of their work and identification of issues
  • Review procedures and other documentation including test papers to ensure they remain current
  • Manage projects to improve efficiency, quality of output and maintain the controls and questionnaires in line with changes to policy, regulation or legislation
  • Willingness to travel as required

Role is located in Cranston, RI


Experience and Skills:

  • 5 years or more of management experience 
  • 3 years or more of experience working with Third Party Assurance
  • Ability to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracy 
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload 
  • Ability to assess, identify and mitigate risk issues early in the process, including the proper allocation and management of such risks
  • Strong organizational, communication and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with multiple departments and vendors to achieve delivery objectives
  • Strong capability and experience with meeting delivery timelines
  • Strong MS Office skills including Word, Power Point, and Excel

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Banking Regulations (OCC, FDIC, FRB)
  • Prior financial services work experience

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
  • Certified CISA, CISM or CISSP

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week:  40

Work Schedule:  Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
