The Senior Business Systems Analyst leads, coordinates, and supports the investigation, documentation, and potential re-engineering of end-to-end workflows within the Consumer Bank. They will be responsible to review and identify potential automation opportunities in existing business workflows, and will recommend and facilitate workflow changes to support software automation.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Appropriately documenting functional and/or technical specifications as required and consistent with company standards and consistent with our Change Framework
  • Managing system configuration / system settings processes to ensure fulfillment of business requirements and/or applicable application requirements
  • Designing, documenting, developing and executing test automation plans from business requirements
  • Coordinating activities with Continuous Improvement leads and other developers to create and deploy Process Automation solutions
  • Managing assigned project tasks consistent with project directives
  • Working with business line and partners to identify and design appropriate automation workflows
  • Implementing the full life cycle of Process Automation solutions: identifying automation opportunities, gathering requirements, implementation, testing and deployment of targeted automation solutions using industry leading Process Automation tools
  • Working as a team, effectively and efficiently engaging with key stakeholders to evaluate current workflows through research and fact finding, and identifying areas of opportunity to create efficiency
  • Participating in the Citizens Process Automation Services to develop and promote and utilize best practices for Process Automation capabilities
  • Developing scalable and efficient process automations and reusable components that can be leveraged across different lines of businesses
  • Serving as subject matter expert to others seeking to utilize PA technologies to automate and streamline existing manual business processes
  • Possessing broad technical knowledge and an ability to effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders to report on project opportunities and progress, objectively evaluating a process and recommending a better way to deliver for our customers
  • Working independently to identify and document business areas which would be most positively impacted by creating tools and automation to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and deliver for our customer
  • Position requires travel up to 25% of time


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Advanced programming/configuration/analytical skills to achieve business and or technical requirements

Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Experience with Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, SQL, or any other programming language
  • Data Robotics or Automation knowledge 
  • Experience in banking or financial industry
  • Experience with Blue Prism
  • Java Sharp (J#) experience
  • IT relationship management
  • Experience with workflow re-engineering using techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, or another industry standard practice
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of applicable experience

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
