Johnson Controls is hiring a Traveling Security Field Engineer to install, configure, and support electronic security solutions for manufacturing clients. You will commission access control, video, and intrusion systems, perform onsite troubleshooting, and ensure systems meet safety and performance standards. Partner with project managers and customers, document work, and provide end-user training. This role requires extensive travel, strong technical aptitude, and adherence to Johnson Controls’ safety-focused, innovative culture in smart, sustainable building solutions. Install, configure, and commission electronic security systems for manufacturing facilities Perform onsite troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of access control, video, and intrusion systems Execute low-voltage wiring, terminations, and equipment mounting to company standards Conduct system testing, verification, and documentation to meet safety and performance requirements Collaborate with project managers and customers to plan, schedule, and deliver field work Provide end-user training and technical support to onsite personnel Maintain accurate service reports, configurations, and change documentation Adhere to Johnson Controls’ safety policies and regulatory requirements while working in the field Travel extensively to customer sites across assigned regions Support continuous improvement of field processes and standard practices Electronic security systems installation Network configuration and TCP/IP Access control systems Video surveillance/CCTV systems Alarm and intrusion detection systems Low-voltage wiring and terminations System commissioning and testing Technical documentation and reporting Customer support and training Troubleshooting and diagnostics Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k CompTIA Security Cisco CCNA or CCNP Microsoft Certified: Azure or Windows Server Certified Security Systems Technician (e.g., Lenel, C•CURE, ProWatch) OSHA 10/30 safety certification PMP or equivalent project coordination experience Valid driver’s license and clean driving record5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
