Job Title: Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Associate Attorney
Location: Birmingham, Alabama (In-Person)
MW Talent is partnering with a nationally recognized law firm to hire a
junior Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Associate to join a highly regarded Tech Transactions & Data Privacy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney looking to build deep experience in a growing, sophisticated practice area.
About the Role This role offers exposure to a wide range of cybersecurity and data privacy matters, including incident response, privacy compliance, regulatory investigations, and related litigation. You'll work within a collaborative and dynamic team environment and gain hands-on experience advising clients on practical, business-focused solutions. Immediate client contact is part of the role, making this a great opportunity to develop both legal and client-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with cybersecurity incident response matters
- Advise clients on privacy compliance and data protection issues
- Support regulatory investigations and related litigation
- Draft and review legal documents, policies, and client communications
- Work closely with attorneys across a national practice group
Qualifications- JD from an accredited law school
- Active Alabama bar admission required
- Strong academic credentials
- Experience in a law firm or similar professional environment
- Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex subject matter
- Experience with cyber incident response or complex commercial litigation is a plus, but not required
