Business Services Manager (Legal Sector)

As a Legal Sector Business Services Manager, you drive service excellence for a diverse Legal client portfolio. You lead technical deliverables in financial statements and taxation, and mentor junior staff while maintaining strong client relationships. You collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams to ensure timely, compliant outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of client service, technical accounting, and team leadership within a growth-minded firm. You will play a key part in shaping the Legal Sector practice as Armstrong Watson scales its reputation.

• Own a portfolio of legal sector clients ranging from basic to large and complex assignments
• Prepare and submit financial statements, business taxation, and personal taxation for your portfolio within deadlines
• Oversee and provide technical support to Business Services Assistants and Seniors; perform line management duties
• Resolve complex queries and liaise directly with clients
• Review work prepared by Assistants and Seniors for accuracy and readiness for client review
• Attend and contribute to client meetings with the Business Services Partner
• Build professional client relationships and foster referrals
• Develop a network of professional contacts to generate new business

• Full UK Driving Licence
• ICAS, ACA or ACCA qualified
• Experience in an accounting role at an Accountancy Practice
• Ambitious and able to drive the team forward
