Encompass Health is seeking a Pharmacy Tech to support safe, accurate medication delivery in our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Working closely with pharmacists, nurses, and the interdisciplinary rehab team, you will assist with medication preparation, unit-dose packaging, automated dispensing systems, inventory control, and order entry while adhering to regulatory, safety, and infection-control standards. In our patient-centered, team-oriented culture, you’ll gain exposure to complex rehab cases, receive mentoring, and access training and growth opportunities across our national network. Assist pharmacists with accurate preparation and dispensing of medications for inpatient rehabilitation patients. Manage inventory, restock supplies, and monitor expiration dates for all medications and IV solutions. Operate and maintain automated dispensing cabinets and pharmacy information systems for order entry and tracking. Package medications in unit doses and label products according to regulatory and safety standards. Verify and input medication orders with attention to allergies, dosing, and potential interactions. Support insurance and billing processes by ensuring accurate patient and medication information. Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and state/federal pharmacy regulations. Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, and the rehab team to support timely medication delivery and patient care. Participate in quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within the pharmacy. Assist with orientation or mentoring of new pharmacy staff as needed.
