Sherwood Urgent Care in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging in a busy walk-in clinic. Responsibilities include conducting digital X-rays, limited-scope imaging exams, preparing and positioning patients, verifying orders, and ensuring radiation safety protocols. The technologist will support urgent care workflows, assist clinical staff as needed, maintain equipment, manage PACS/image quality, and document accurately in the EMR. Ideal candidates are patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, team-based medical environment. Perform digital X-ray and limited license imaging exams per provider orders Prepare, position, and educate patients for imaging procedures Apply and monitor radiation safety standards for patients and staff Verify imaging orders and patient identity; follow urgent care protocols Ensure image quality, proper labeling, and timely upload to PACS Document procedures and findings accurately in the EMR Maintain imaging equipment and exam rooms in clean, ready status Assist clinical team with basic patient care tasks as needed Collaborate with providers and nurses in a fast-paced urgent care setting Support efficient patient flow while maintaining compassionate care Diagnostic radiography (digital X-ray) Patient positioning and immobilization Radiation safety and ALARA compliance Operation of X-ray equipment and QA checks PACS and image management systems Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Infection control and standard precautions Basic venipuncture or clinical support skills Communication with patients and clinical staff Workflow management in fast-paced clinical settings Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current ARRT certification in Radiography or eligibility State of Louisiana Limited License X-Ray Technologist authorization (as applicable) BLS/CPR certification Knowledge of radiation safety principles and ALARA standards Experience with digital radiography and PACS Familiarity with urgent care or outpatient clinical workflows5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
