Senior Wireless SoC Architect Location: Chandler, AZ Salary: $170,000 annually Bonus Benefits: Excellent Comprehensive Benefits Package Travel: Up to 25% We are seeking an experienced Senior Wireless SoC Architect to lead the design and development of next-generation 32-bit microcontroller-based wireless solutions. This role focuses on creating high-performance, low-power System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures supporting Bluetooth, Ultra-Wideband (UWB), and Wi-Fi technologies. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, define product architectures, and collaborate with engineering, product management, and customer teams to deliver innovative semiconductor solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture of advanced wireless SoC platforms, including processor cores, memory systems, power management, security, and test capabilities. Define peripheral architectures, hardware interfaces, programming models, and functional specifications. Evaluate design trade-offs involving performance, power consumption, features, and cost. Collaborate with engineering, firmware, verification, validation, and product teams throughout the SoC development lifecycle, from concept through silicon tape-out. Incorporate functional safety and cybersecurity requirements, including ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and TARA. Partner with internal stakeholders, customers, and external IP vendors to align technical requirements and product roadmaps. Present architectural recommendations and product strategies to leadership and customers. Utilize AI-driven tools and design automation to improve efficiency, quality, and first-silicon success. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 15 years of experience in wireless semiconductor design, SoC architecture, or related engineering roles. Strong expertise in microcontroller architecture, microarchitecture, and embedded systems. Extensive knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), UWB, and Wi-Fi technologies. In-depth understanding of ARM and RISC processor architectures. Experience with low-power design, power management, and analog subsystems. Knowledge of semiconductor development, including pre-silicon verification, post-silicon validation, and production testing. Familiarity with functional safety and embedded cybersecurity standards.
