Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support high-quality inpatient rehabilitation services. In this role, you’ll implement treatment plans designed by licensed physical therapists, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities. You’ll monitor progress, accurately document care, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team. Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for rehabilitation patients Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities Monitor, document, and report patient progress, responses, and concerns to the supervising therapist Ensure safe use of equipment and maintain clean, organized therapy spaces Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and home program adherence Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support coordinated, patient-centered care Support compliance with clinical protocols, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements Contribute to a positive, respectful, and compassionate care environment Therapeutic exercise implementation Gait and balance training Patient mobility and transfer techniques Rehabilitation documentation (EMR) Knowledge of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions Use of rehab equipment and modalities Patient and family education Infection control and safety practices Interdisciplinary team collaboration Time management in clinical settings Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current state Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification Knowledge of rehabilitation and inpatient therapy protocols5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
