As a Project Architect on our team in Irvine, CA you'll be responsible for managing projects for the built environment that enhance organizational performance and achieve the client's business objectives utilizing best practices. Our goal is to develop innovative interior holistic design solutions which effectively address user needs, functions, and budgetary alignment while satisfying the sustainable and aesthetic goals of the project.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the overall design intent of the project is incorporated into the detailed documentation.

  • Involved in the design process from conceptual phase through construction administration, ensuring the design idea is consistent and properly executed.

  • Responsible for technical execution and coordination for multi-disciplined projects.

  • Works with the project specification writer to develop specifications and is responsible for coordination of drawings and specifications.

  • Checks completed reports, plans, estimates and calculations for accuracy.

  • Works to implement the overall strategy for producing the documents and participates in organizing the sheets planned for each stage of the work. This includes defining how data will be organized into files and which elements will be incorporated in a Building Information Model (BIM).

  • Works with BIM Manager to define and set up project team software parameters and works with team BIM Lead to manage project standards.

  • Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the entire Project Team.

  • On-site office attendance.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program.

  • At least 5 years' architecture experience.

  • Licensed Architect with current registration.

  • Proficiency in Revit.

  • US Citizenship.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.

  • Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design, and various sustainability certifications.

  • Knowledge of QA/QC process.

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, Enscape and InDesign graphic software preferred. Other graphic tools and knowledge encouraged.
