Key Qualifications:

• EIPA score of 4.0 or higher, or demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) as a paraprofessional
• Prior experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings strongly preferred
• Ability to facilitate clear communication between students, staff, and peers
• Comfortable providing 1:1 support to elementary-age students
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, professional demeanor

Role Responsibilities:

• Serve as a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter for a 4th grade student in a general education classroom
• Assist in classroom activities, ensuring access to instruction, discussions, and social interactions
• Work collaboratively with the teaching staff and special education team to support individualized learning goals
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold school policies at all times
• Work hours: 7:50am - 2:15pm, totaling 30 hours per week throughout the school term
