Business Tax Expert - TurboTax Store (Los Angeles)

In this role you will work on-site at a TurboTax Retail or Flagship location to provide end-to-end tax guidance and preparation for consumer and business clients. You will own client relationships, deliver tax strategy and planning, and collaborate with a team of bookkeeping experts to address broader needs. You'll also contribute to community outreach and local marketing to grow the TurboTax presence. You'll act as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate complex tax scenarios and realize financial goals.

• Provide hands-on tax advice and prepare federal and state returns for individuals and business entities
• Conduct discovery sessions and tax reviews to optimize deductions, liabilities, and refunds
• Leverage government resources, tools, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax solutions in plain language
• Act as the primary relationship owner, guiding clients through tax engagements and cross-selling related services
• Foster long-term client relationships and ensure a seamless experience across services (bookkeeping, payroll, etc.)
• Deliver exceptional customer experience in-person and via Intuit video tools; address tax inquiries and challenges
• Lead local community outreach, prospecting, and participation in local marketing efforts to grow the client base
• Represent TurboTax as a community ambassador, promoting tax education and accessibility

• 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial software
• 3 seasons of personal tax preparation experience with at least 30 returns per year
• General bookkeeping knowledge; willingness to upskill to QuickBooks ProAdvisor
• Experience advising on business tax returns and year-round tax guidance for small businesses
• State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds as required; familiarity with Circular 230
• Onsite availability at a TurboTax store, including weekend hours ( 20 hours/week)
• Interest in building local and online presence and educating the community; bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)
• Willingness to wear TurboTax uniform and work in a front-facing retail environment
