Spectrum Center Schools and Programs seeks a Substitute Instructional Aide to support students with autism and other special needs in nonpublic and in-district classrooms. In this mission-driven, student-centered role, you’ll assist teachers with individualized instruction, behavior support, data collection, and IEP implementation. You’ll help create safe, inclusive learning environments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support communication with families and districts. This position offers meaningful impact, structured training, and opportunities for growth in special education and behavioral services. Provide classroom support to lead teachers and specialists for students with autism and other special needs Assist with implementing individualized instruction, accommodations, and behavior support plans Support students with academic tasks, communication, social skills, and daily routines Monitor and document student behavior and progress as directed by the teacher or team Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Use positive behavior strategies and follow crisis prevention protocols as trained Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student goals Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and instructional materials Support personal care needs as appropriate and according to student plans Participate in training and professional development on special education and behavior support practices Classroom support Behavior management Special education support Data collection on student progress Implementing IEP accommodations Safety and crisis prevention Applied behavior strategies Collaborative teamwork Basic instructional assistance in academics Documentation and reporting Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Paraprofessional certificate (where applicable) CPI or other crisis intervention training (preferred) CPR/First Aid certification (preferred) Background check clearance5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
