Provide classroom coverage when the regular teacher is absent, leading play-based and developmentally appropriate activities for young children. Follow lesson plans and routines, supervise children throughout the day, support personal care needs, maintain a safe and orderly classroom, and communicate with families and school staff. Lead age-appropriate stories, art, music, movement, sensory activities, and outdoor play. Follow established lesson plans, classroom routines, and school policies. Supervise children during activities, meals, rest periods, outdoor play, and transitions. Assist with handwashing, toileting, diapering, feeding, and other personal care as needed. Keep classrooms and learning materials clean, organized, and ready for use. Collaborate with teachers and leaders and communicate professionally with families.
