Job Summary
The OT Supervisor (Occupational Therapy Supervisor) provides clinical and operational leadership for a high-performing acute care Occupational Therapy team within a Level 1 trauma center and academic teaching hospital. Reporting to the department manager, this role supervises 25 staff and is primarily responsible for staffing/scheduling, daily workflow coordination, onboarding, training, and performance management to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care.
The OT Supervisor supports real-time clinical and operational decision-making and ensures delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered OT services across diverse, high-acuity populations, including trauma, burn, critical care, neurology, oncology, transplant, pediatric, and complex medical/surgical patients. This role ensures compliance with licensure, credentialing, and regulatory standards while fostering staff development and continuous improvement in clinical outcomes and operational performance.
In partnership with Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation leadership and interdisciplinary teams, the OT Supervisor advances early mobility, functional progression, and discharge readiness to improve patient outcomes and reduce length of stay.
