TITLE:Gastroenterologist Physician AssistantBase Salary Range : $115,000 to $173,000 The salary range above is an estimated annual base salary for a full-time position. Your Total Rewards would include a base salary plus performance-based incentives and other valuable benefits. Our compensation models utilize fair market value data specific to your specialty. PRIMARY FUNCTION:The Physician Assistant (PA) for Gastroenterologists provides collaborative patient management under the direction of board-certified/eligible physicians. The PA implements and maintains PA requirements, both programmatic and competency-specific to Gastroenterologist Programs. This position is clinically responsible and accountable for the application of the PA process, providing clinical guidance to the team, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, and patient care management across the healthcare continuum from preventative care through discharge.CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Preoperative CarePerform and document history and physical examinations.Write appropriate admission orders.Review abnormal findings and coordinate additional testing or consultations.Document progress notes.Evaluate unstable patients and initiate emergency management.Collaborate on procedure scheduling.Assist with data collection.Provide patient education.Postoperative CareWrite and manage postoperative orders.Monitor early postoperative period.Initiate treatment of postoperative complications.Communicate effectively with attending physicians.Perform daily patient assessments.Complete discharge summaries.PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:Demonstrate clinical excellence in patient care.Maintain effective communication with all team members.Participate in quality improvement initiatives.Support evidence-based practice standards.Contribute to department and organizational goals.Promote positive patient outcomes through mentorship and education.Maintain compliance with all regulatory and institutional requirements.Total RewardsCompetitive compensation packageBenefits to include: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and moreProfessional liability insurance coverage401k retirement plan with employer matchingReimbursement for CME, DEA, and license renewalsExceptional People.
