Perform general dentistry in oral health; conduct comprehensive oral examinations for pediatric/ adolescent patients; assess oral tissues, dentition development, occlusion, craniofacial growth patterns; review/interpret patient medical/dental histories to identify systemic conditions, risk factors, contraindications affecting dental treatment; diagnose dental conditions using clinical evaluations, intraoral examinations, diagnostic imaging such as digital radiographs, bitewing X-rays; develop individualized treatment plans based on patient age, developmental stage, oral health status, behavioral considerations; provide preventive dental services (oral prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, sealant application, anticipatory guidance); perform restorative dental procedures (composite restorations, stainless steel crowns, pulpotomies, management of early childhood cavities; manage dental trauma cases involving primary and permanent dentition (stabilization, restoration, or referrals as clinically indicated); utilize dental technologies/equipment digital radiography systems, electronic dental records (EHR), intraoral cameras, rotary instruments ; administer/monitor local anesthesia, behavior management techniques appropriate for pediatric patients; maintain strict infection control protocols (sterilization of instruments, compliance with OSHA, CDC, state dental board regulations; educate patients, parents/guardians on oral hygiene practices, nutrition counseling, cavities; prevention/long-term oral health maintenance; identify cases requiring specialty care (e.g., orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics); coordinate referrals to appropriate dental specialists; document clinical findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures accurately within electronic dental record system; collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, administrative staff to ensure efficient clinical workflow/continuity of care; provide clinical guidance/professional input regarding technical performance/skill development of dental auxiliary staff; participate in clinical staff meetings, quality assurance initiatives, continuing education activities to maintain professional competency/compliance; uphold professional, ethical, and moral standards established by the American Dental Association and applicable licensing authorities. Multiple worksites: Employers dental clinics located throughout CA Counties: Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, & San Joaquin. Travel: Regular travel between employers worksites within listed counties required. Job Requirements: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree (or foreign equivalent) & valid CA dental license. Multiple worksites: Employers dental clinics located throughout CA Counties: Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, & San Joaquin. Travel: Regular travel between employers worksites within listed counties required. Salary range from $111,238 to $222,600 per year. read more
