Role Overview
Our client seeks a seasoned litigator to join their personal-injury trial team. The successful candidate will take an active lead on complex litigation matters-drafting and arguing critical motions, managing discovery, and shaping trial strategy-while working in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Case Management: Oversee personal-injury files from complaint through verdict, including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, and dispositive motions.
Motion Practice: Draft and argue motions to strike, compel, consolidate, dismiss, vacate, and for summary judgment, among others.
Research & Analysis: Prepare clear, concise memoranda that outline legal issues, risk assessments, and recommended courses of action.
Trial Support: Partner with the trial team on witness preparation, exhibits, and courtroom strategy; appear in court as needed.
Client Communication: Explain case status, options, and next steps at pivotal moments so clients can make informed decisions.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with colleagues to refine litigation workflows and firm policies.
Record Keeping: Maintain organized electronic and paper files to ensure accuracy and timely completion of all assignments.
Required Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic performance.
5+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in personal-injury matters.
Admission to the California State Bar in good standing (mandatory).
Demonstrated excellence in persuasive writing, legal research, and analytical reasoning under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with California Rules of Court and local practice standards; prior trial-prep exposure is a plus.
Exceptional verbal communication, professionalism, and reliability.
