Associate Attorney - Defense Litigation

Location: Los Angeles, CA Employment Type: Full-Time

A growing litigation defense practice is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with extensive insurance defense experience to join its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record handling complex litigation matters through trial and achieving favorable outcomes for clients.

• Independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle cases involving:
  • Personal Injury Defense
  • Premises Liability
  • Products Liability
  • Transportation Litigation
  • Habitability Defense
• Develop litigation strategy and oversee case progression.
• Draft and argue substantive motions.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, settlement conferences, and arbitrations.
• Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial proceedings.
• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with litigation support staff.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide strategic legal guidance.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• U.S. work authorization required.
• 10+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Trial experience strongly preferred.
• Significant experience in one or more of the following:
  • Personal Injury Defense
  • Premises Liability
  • Products Liability
  • Transportation Litigation
  • Habitability Defense
• Excellent courtroom, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.

• Salary: $170,000 - $200,000 annually (DOE)
