Jobot is seeking an Associate Attorney to support public agency litigation within our Professional, Scientific & Technical Services practice. In this role, you will manage civil cases for government and public entity clients, from pleadings through resolution. Responsibilities include legal research, drafting motions and briefs, handling discovery, and appearing at hearings and mediations. You’ll also advise agencies on governance, regulatory compliance, and contracts. Handle public agency litigation from inception through resolution, including pleadings, law and motion, discovery, and hearings. Conduct in-depth legal research and draft briefs, memoranda, and court filings on public law and civil procedure issues. Advise public agencies on governance, regulatory compliance, contracts, and risk mitigation. Collaborate with partners and team members to develop case strategies and evaluate settlement options. Appear in court, at administrative hearings, and in mediations or arbitrations as needed. Manage case calendars, deadlines, and client communications to ensure timely, high-quality work product. Review and draft ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and policy documents for public entities.
