Senior Backend Architect – AV & Customer Obsession (Sunnyvale)

Uber is seeking a Senior Staff Backend Engineer to set the technical direction for AV and Customer Obsession initiatives. You will define scalable backend systems and drive architecture across AV, Fleet, Uber for Business, and Direct integrations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to prevent fragmentation, build reliable testing and quality frameworks, and mentor senior engineers to deliver Staff-level impact as the business scales in California and beyond.
