Role Title: Phlebotomist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join a hospital team. This role includes: bedside collecting blood and other specimens, performing venipunctures and finger sticks, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and updating patient records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and adheres to proper infection control and safety procedures.

Key Requirements

Must Have:

• Certification or formal training in phlebotomy

• Proficiency in venipuncture, phlebotomy, and finger sticks

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols

• Knowledge of infection control and aseptic techniques

Preferred:

• Minimum 2 years of hospital (acute care) bedside draws patients of all ages

• Experience performing bleeding-time tests and quality-control documentation

• Compassionate patient care and strong bedside manner

• Ability to calm nervous patients and reassure them during procedures
