Machinist Trainee Entry Level

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual interested in starting a career as a Machinist Trainee.

Previous machining experience or formal schooling is not required. The company is willing to fully train a reliable candidate who is comfortable working with their hands, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working on cars, engines, brakes, mechanical equipment, tools, or other hands-on projects and would like to turn those skills into a career in machining.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely operate large multi-spindle machining equipment

• Assist with changing machine tools and components

• Replace machine parts and tooling as they wear out

• Perform basic machine adjustments under supervision

• Use basic math and measurements during production

• Follow all safety procedures and training

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Learn machine operations and demonstrate continued progress

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools

• Automotive or mechanical experience is a plus, including working on engines, changing brakes, or performing personal vehicle repairs

• No formal machining experience or schooling required

• Basic math skills

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

• Comfortable working in a shop/warehouse environment

• Must be comfortable working around oil, grease, machinery, and metal components

• Able to work in changing hot and cold temperatures

• Reliable attendance and ability to report to work every day at 5:00 AM

• Motivated to learn a skilled trade and grow with the company

Growth Opportunity

Candidates will receive hands-on training in machine safety and operation. As the trainee demonstrates progress and develops their machining skills, there will be opportunities for incremental pay increases.

Interview Requirements

Candidates must interview with the Shop Supervisors before being selected for the position.

Interview Availability: MondayThursday, between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
