Position ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to increase BALLE’s impact by partnering directly with our network of local economy leaders, place-based foundation professionals, and impact investors to build economically empowered communities across the U.S. and Canada. Bringing exceptional relationship management and consultative skills, you will strengthen relationships with leaders in our network, enable greater collaboration and connectivity across and within communities, identify and uplift promising local innovations and solutions, and provide ongoing advisory services, technical assistance, and thought partnership. The Program Lead will play a leadership and consultative role on multiple BALLE initiatives and collaborate with a results-oriented team to develop and effectively execute projects. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Program Strategy and Development Assist in the development and execution of BALLEʼs program strategy and goals.Conduct research and analysis in support of overall BALLE program development.Provide strategic guidance and implementation support to existing and future program offerings and impact areas, including: Social Entrepreneur-In-Residency (SEIR), Ecosystem Accelerator, Funder Education, and Capital Strategies.Pilot new programs in response to market demand and emerging trends in the field.Design programs and convenings that help BALLE network leaders and fee-for-service client partners solve identified problems and achieve stated objectives.Plan and manage convenings, including budgeting, setting agendas, overseeing logistics, organizing content, and managing key stakeholder relationships.Facilitate engaging and dynamic in-person and virtual meetings and workshops. Relationship Management and Advisory Services Manage a portfolio of BALLE network leaders and fee-for-service client partners.Serve as a trusted advisor and deliver specialized strategic and programmatic technical assistance and advisory services to network leaders and fee-for-service client partners. In collaboration with the Organizational Advancement Team, scope and design high quality consultative engagements for prospective fee-for-service client partners. Ecosystem and Field Building Contribute to knowledge-sharing by codifying lessons learned into tools or other content. Write and contribute to reports, issue briefs, blogs, and other communications.Provide presentations, lead or participate in conferences, workshops, and online discussions that make strategic contributions in the fields of community economic development, inclusive entrepreneurship, and place-based impact investing. General Manage projects to ensure that they are executed on time and meet stated outcomes. Employ interpersonal skills to identify, establish, and manage strategic relationships.Develop, monitor, and adjust work plans for projects and own work.Monitor budgets and prepare reports to funders and fee-for-service client partners.Contribute to a positive work culture through consistent high energy, intellectual curiosity, and eagerness to support colleagues. Represent BALLE at meetings and events with the ability to engage diverse audiences. DESIRED REQUIREMENTS: Senior leader with relevant work experience in the fields of community economic development, inclusive entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and/or impact investing. Experience working directly with social entrepreneurs, economic developers, entrepreneurial ecosystem builders, foundation leaders, and impact investors.Strong relationship builder with experience working across a diverse-range of partners.Exceptional project manager with the ability to manage various projects with a high degree of organization, creativity, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and flexibility.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with public speaking and able to craft persuasive verbal and written communications for different audiences.Enjoy working in ambiguous situations; goal-oriented while operating with autonomy. Works well independently while being proactive in initiating cross-team collaboration.
