Denver, CO, with regular travel across Colorado · Full-time · $130,000–$155,000 base annual bonus per-location launch bonuses phantom equity Iron Buffalo keeps heavy-duty trucks and trailers on the road for fleets that can't afford downtime. We run a full-service shop in Denver, a fleet of mobile service trucks, and dedicated on-site service for major fleet customers. Next we're opening Colorado Springs in early 2027, then Grand Junction, a mountain location and Johnstown. We need an operations leader who believes great shops run on great standards. You'll write down how Iron Buffalo does things, train every shop to do it that way, and measure it. Then you'll use that playbook to launch each new location. You report to the owner, and the shop GMs report to you. What you'll do Build and own our operating standards and SOPs: write-up, diagnosis, authorization, parts, QC, invoicing, safety and DOT inspections. Train GMs, foremen, service writers and techs on those standards, then audit them weekly so they actually stick. Write the new-location launch playbook and personally lead the Colorado Springs opening: site, equipment, Fullbay setup, hiring and first customers. Roll the playbook out to Grand Junction, the mountains and Johnstown, each opened on time and ramped to plan. Run the numbers by shop every week: billed hours, tech efficiency, comebacks, ticket age, gross margin and parts. Hire and develop shop leaders, and keep a steady pipeline of diesel technicians. Own safety and compliance: OSHA, DOT and environmental. What you bring 8 years in heavy-duty truck, trailer or equipment service, including 3 years running multiple shops or a large multi-bay operation. You've opened or turned around a location, and you can walk us through what you did in the first 90 days. You write things down. Show us an SOP, checklist or training program you built and enforced. You manage by the numbers: shop KPIs, P&L, labor efficiency and parts margin. Comfort with shop software (Fullbay or similar) and a willingness to use data and audits, not gut feel. Willingness to travel across Colorado, often during launches. Nice to have: dealer, national service-chain or fleet-maintenance background; ASE certifications; experience setting up mobile service operations; ties to diesel tech schools. What we offer $130,000–$155,000 base, plus a 15–20% annual bonus and launch bonuses for each location that hits plan. Phantom equity, tied partly to the new locations you open. Vehicle allowance, travel paid, phone, health benefits and PTO. (Confirm the benefits list before posting.) A chance to build the operating system of a growing company and shape four new locations.5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386 read more
