Lead Business Analyst

In this role you will lead complex healthcare revenue cycle analytics supporting client engagements around chargemaster optimization, pricing, reimbursement, claims, and financial performance. You will analyze large datasets, build analytical solutions, and turn findings into actionable recommendations. You will apply deep knowledge of healthcare billing and revenue cycle operations to identify opportunities and validate results for client and business decisions. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate needs into technical solutions and present insights that drive financial performance and process improvements.

• Analyze chargemaster structure, pricing, reimbursement, codes, modifiers, and charge accuracy
• Evaluate pricing and reimbursement methods to improve consistency and financial performance
• Review chargemaster, pricing, claims, remittance, payer contracts, adjustments, denials, and underpayments to identify trends
• Analyze national claims and benchmark data to assess pricing, utilization, reimbursement, and revenue opportunities
• Develop financial models, dashboards, and recurring analytics to support client recommendations
• Write, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL queries across multiple healthcare data sources
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and validate results against source systems and reports
• Present findings and recommendations to consulting teams and other stakeholders
• Document business rules, data definitions, methodologies, assumptions, and reporting processes
• Partner with Finance, Patient Financial Services, Coding, Managed Care, IT, Pharmacy, and other departments to support revenue cycle initiatives

• 7 or more years of relevant experience
• Advanced SQL skills
• Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations (chargemaster, pricing, billing, reimbursement, claims analysis)
• Working knowledge of CMS policies and healthcare reimbursement requirements
• Understanding of CPT/HCPCS codes, modifiers, billing units, payer reimbursement, and denials
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and work independently
