Emergency Physician

Nuvance Health is seeking a per diem Emergency Physician to join their team at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. This role involves providing clinical medical services in a Level II Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center. The ideal candidate will contribute to a stable and collegial team, treating approximately 70,000 patients annually.

Practice Info

• Primarily based at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT, with coverage at New Milford Hospital.
• Danbury Hospital's Emergency Department is an accredited Level II Trauma Center, a Stroke Center, and a Chest Pain Center.
• Danbury Hospital's ED treats about 70,000 patients annually, with approximately 900 trauma cases.
• New Milford Hospital's ER treats 16,000 patients annually in a newly renovated department.
• The team consists of 22 physicians and 14 physician assistants providing 24/7 coverage at both locations.
• Danbury Hospital is a 371-bed not-for-profit community hospital and a teaching hospital associated with several universities.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of clinical medical services to patients presenting to the Hospital's emergency department.
• Perform evaluation and management of patients.

Compensation

• Highly competitive hourly rate.
• $225-$250/hr depending upon shift.

Shift & Schedule

• Per diem position.
• Willing to work about 2 variable shifts per month as needed.

Requirements

• MD or DO with successful completion of Emergency Medicine Residency.
• CT State license, CSR and Federal Narcotic Use Registration (DEA).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Willing to work about 2 variable shifts per month as needed.
• Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS required.
