When our associates are successful, the company is successful.ResponsibilitiesThe primary purpose of this role is to provide leadership for Capital Project Development and Management across all Poultry Complexes and Facilities. Areas of importance include development of Capex Project scopes, including team and management alignment, project responsibilities, project schedules, and specifications. Specific responsibilties are as follows:Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractorsIn depth project planning and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elementsControl project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actionsDetermine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimatesConfirm product performance by designing and conducting tests to measure optimal design and functionContact proper government agencies for permitting and licensing associated with projectsMaintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problemsUpdate AutoCAD drawings for design phase of project as needed and revise existing plant drawings as projects are completeControl project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contractsPrepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actionsMaintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulationsMaintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulationsContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededInitiate purchasing requisitions and track costs related to projectsFacilitate all project meetings with cross-functional teamsPrepare weekly, monthly and completion project progress reports to share with Senior Management and key stakeholdersAbility to work weekends and holidays as project load and project schedule requiresRequired QualificationsBS in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)Minimum of 3 years' previous experience with project management in a food production, manufacturing, industrial, consumer packaged goods or distribution settingIn-depth knowledge of food processing plant and technology preferredExperience with ammonia refrigeration with food products is a plusKnowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements for food safety and equipment highly desiredUnderstand product flow, ergonomics, maintenance and sanitation practices so all-encompassing disciplines can be included in project success specific to Poultry project developmentAdept at Analysis, Project Design , Project Management, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Process Improvement, Technical Understanding, Documentation Skills, Safety Management, Supervision, CAD.Proven record of successful vendor negotiationsAbility to:Interact in a team environmentHandle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlinesBe Innovative - Think out of the boxWork weekends and holidays during project implementationPositively interact with all customers, contractors and vendorsAble to work within all areas of the Processing FacilitiesTo travel as needed to multiple Complex and Facility locationsStrong computer skillsProficient with AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and MS ExcelExperience in World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and/or Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) is a plusMust be motivated and possess a strong ability to work independently and with minimal supervision to accomplish project load on time and on budget and in scopeMust be data driven and possess a high level of attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDisplay strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skillsExcellent time management skillsWelcome to Mountaire Farms.
