Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Aide to join our team, focusing on maintaining a clean and safe environment across our network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. Our Environmental Services Aides are vital in ensuring that all patients, staff, and visitors experience a hygienic and welcoming atmosphere. This role involves thorough cleaning and maintenance of patient areas, staff workspaces, and public spaces, adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, surgical areas, administrative offices, laboratory areas, waiting areas, and restrooms. Follow strict protocols for maintaining cleanliness in hospital environments to control the spread of germs and disease. Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials and bio-waste. Ensure adherence to infection control and safety guidelines. Replenish supplies and ensure that soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and sanitation stations are fully stocked at all times. Engage with patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive environment. Report any repairs, replacements, or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
