Physical Therapy Assistant

MaxHealth has an immediate opening for a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work within our Physical Therapy practice located in Lakewood Ranch.

The Licensed Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) plays a vital role in helping patients regain their movement and manage pain from chronic conditions or injuries. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will implement treatment plans and provide compassionate, one-on-one rehabilitative care to our patients.

Job Qualifications:

1. Completed a professional degree in physical therapy as an assistant.
2. Valid physical therapist assistant license.
3. Proficient in modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
4. Strong communication and customer service skills at all levels of interaction.
5. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with EMR/EHR systems.
6. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver tailored treatment plans.
2. Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and progress their rehabilitation journey.
3. Provide hands-on manual therapy and neuromuscular re-education.
4. Document daily progress notes in our EMR system and communicate updates to the PT.
5. Ensure high-quality care while fostering a supportive and encouraging environment for patients.
