Job Overview
We are seeking bilingual, dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistants to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong commitment to patient well-being, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Duties
-Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care by preparing examination rooms and ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
-Perform vital signs assessments, including measuring blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate.
-Support patients in understanding their treatment plans and provide education on medication administration, including inhalation techniques for respiratory therapies.
-Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems to maintain up-to-date medical histories.
Experience
-Previous experience as a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist
-Familiarity with electronic health records (eClinicalWorks) required
-Proficiency in English and Spanish required
-Basic life support certification is required; additional certifications such as EKG and Phlebotomy
-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
-A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in medical practice.
