Encompass Health seeks a Nutrition Services Manager to lead food and nutrition operations in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. This role oversees meal planning, production, and delivery to meet clinical nutrition standards and patient preferences, ensuring compliance with regulatory and food safety requirements. The manager supervises and trains staff, coordinates with dietitians and clinical teams, manages budgets and inventory, and drives quality improvement initiatives. You’ll support a patient-centered, collaborative culture focused on safety, service excellence, and professional growth. Oversee daily nutrition and foodservice operations for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital Plan, implement, and evaluate menus that meet clinical nutrition standards and patient preferences Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS) Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate nutrition services staff Collaborate with dietitians, nursing, and therapy teams to support patient-centered care plans Manage department budget, purchasing, and inventory to control costs and reduce waste Monitor patient satisfaction and lead service recovery and improvement initiatives Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and quality improvement projects for nutrition services Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to operations, safety, and compliance Support staff development through coaching, education, and performance feedback Clinical nutrition knowledge Menu planning and therapeutic diets Foodservice operations management Staff scheduling and supervision Budgeting and cost control Regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, CMS) Quality and safety auditing Inventory and vendor management Electronic medical record documentation Performance improvement and data tracking Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) preferred Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred ServSafe or food safety certification State licensure for dietetics/nutrition (if applicable)5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
