Encompass Health seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitation care. In our inpatient rehab setting, you’ll implement treatment plans, guide patients through therapeutic activities, and document progress to help them regain independence. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you’ll provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care. Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and ADL retraining Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment Educate patients and families on home programs and safety Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and rehab team members Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and infection control standards Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation Participate in care conferences and discharge planning Adhere to all regulatory, ethical, and safety guidelines Therapeutic exercise implementation Activities of daily living (ADL) training Gait and transfer training Patient assessment and observation Rehab documentation (EMR) Infection control practices Patient and family education Interdisciplinary team collaboration Treatment planning support Safety and body mechanics Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active state Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) license Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current BLS/CPR certification Experience in inpatient rehab or similar setting preferred5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386 read more
