Encompass Health seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care in our inpatient rehab setting. You will evaluate patients, develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to maximize functional independence and safe discharge. Responsibilities include therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, patient and family education, and accurate documentation. Perform comprehensive PT evaluations for inpatient rehab patients Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Provide therapeutic exercise, gait, and balance training Deliver functional mobility and transfer training for safe discharge Educate patients and families on home exercise and safety Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team members Document assessments, goals, and progress in EMR accurately and timely Participate in care conferences and discharge planning Adhere to regulatory, safety, and infection control standards Support quality improvement initiatives and mentor new staff as needed Orthopedic assessment and treatment Neurologic rehabilitation techniques Gait and balance training Therapeutic exercise prescription Manual therapy techniques Functional mobility and transfer training Use of rehabilitation modalities (e-stim, ultrasound, etc.) Care planning and documentation in EMR Patient and family education Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current state Physical Therapist (PT) license Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
