The Public Defender's Office, 10th Circuit is seeking an Assistant Public Defender. This position offers a competitive salary of $70,000.00 annually. The role is based in Wauchula, Hardee County, with immediate start date and reimbursable moving expenses up to $8,000.00.
Summary of duties includes preparing cases for defense of indigent persons, conducting legal research, representing clients in court, and performing related work as required.
Attorney qualifications include active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar or recent law school graduate awaiting Bar Exam results, residency in the 10th Circuit or surrounding community, knowledge of criminal law and procedure, and the ability to manage a high volume caseload.
