Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is partnering with a busy, well-established plaintiff law firm in the Dadeland area seeking an experienced Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support a high-performing legal team.

Position Overview
The ideal candidate will provide direct support to two attorneys, managing all aspects of case files from inception through trial. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage deadlines, coordinate litigation activities, and ensure seamless case progression.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain electronic case files from intake through trial
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests/responses
  • Handle e-filing in state and federal courts
  • Coordinate and maintain attorney calendars with strict adherence to court deadlines
  • Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings
  • Facilitate discovery process, including document production and tracking
  • Assist with trial preparation and attendance (including out-of-town trials as needed)
  • Organize exhibits, evidence, and trial materials
  • Coordinate travel arrangements (flights, hotels, transportation) for attorneys
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel professionally (primarily via phone and email)
Qualifications
  • 7-10+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant
  • Strong background in plaintiff personal injury (PI) litigation required
  • Proven experience with trial preparation and courtroom support
  • Proficiency in e-filing systems and legal case management software
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong focus on calendaring and deadline management
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience; near six-figure potential)
