Legal Assistant II - Felony and County Court Divisions
Various positions are available throughout the State Attorney’s Office. The job responsibilities for a Legal Assistant II include but not limited to: providing secretarial and caseload support for attorneys who have a high-volume caseload, preparing and processing court calendars, sending trial subpoenas, database maintenance, preparation of forms, motions and correspondence, processing incoming and outgoing mail, as well as extensive telephone work and public contact. The work schedule varies by division assignment between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Job Responsibilities are:
Preparing daily court, supplemental and alias capias calendars
Processing court calendar returns
Preparing subpoenas, motions and orders
Ordering photos, body-worn cam videos, police reports and other supporting documentation from additional agencies
Distributing and organizing incoming/outgoing mail
Completing requests for Assistant State Attorneys
Maintaining Database
Performing phone work and having contact with the public and law enforcement personnel
Performing other related duties as assigned
The Minimum Requirements are:
High School Diploma or its equivalent
One (1) year secretarial or clerical experience

Starting Annual Salary: $37,072.44
