Responsible for all orders being dispensed and shipped in the expected timeframe. Identifies all outliers/exceptions, and provides feedback to appropriate departments, ensuring prescriptions are not delayed. Monitors the pharmacy system for any orders that have Zero Doses Remaining, as well as Expired Authorizations that require physician notification. Coordinates information for outreach of new prescriptions for all departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitors the pharmacy system Zero Doses Remaining queue, and contacts physicians to renew prescriptions proactively.
- Monitors the Authorizations queue, and notifies physicians when authorizations have expired to enable the physicians to request authorizations from the patient`s insurance carrier.
- Coordinates information about outreach for new prescriptions with appropriate staff and departments who receive the faxes.
- Utilizes both fax and phone notification to contact physician`s office for the above activities.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience: Specialty Pharmacy/Mail Order/ Pharmacy benefit management experience preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: HS/GED.

Experience: 1-3 years.

Industry: Minimum of 6 months of Customer Service in a healthcare setting.  Experience with strong performance results.

Knowledge of specialty pharmacy and mail order pharmacy process preferred. 

Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Job Specific: Minimum experience of 1 year in a fast paced call center or customer service environment, healthcare experience preferred. Experience with computer and keyboard use, talking and typing simultaneously.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: WPM of 35 or higher.

Computer Skills: Computer, keyboard, mouse, and all automated office equipment such as, but not limited to, facsimile machines and copiers.
