Senior Manager, Workday Finance System Administration

In this role you will own the configuration, administration and ongoing optimization of the Workday Financial Management environment. You work at the intersection of finance operations and technology, acting as the primary subject matter expert for Workday Financials with a focus on Accounting Center and related integrations. You will partner with Accounting, FP&A and IT on requirements, security, reporting, and close processes, while driving automation and continuous improvement. This role offers remote work with occasional travel to Atlanta for collaboration and projects, and a chance to shape a scalable, compliant finance platform.

• Administer and configure Workday Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Banking & Settlement, Procurement)
• Lead the implementation and optimization of Workday Accounting Center, including data transformations, source system integrations and journal entry automation
• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and IT to translate business requirements into system configurations
• Manage Workday security roles, business processes and domain policies for Finance
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and calculated fields to support financial reporting
• Support period-end close activities and validate journal entries and reconciliation workflows
• Troubleshoot issues, manage Workday cases and coordinate with Workday support
• Review release notes bi-annually and lead regression testing and deployment
• Maintain system documentation, process maps, and end-user training materials
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation and enhancements

• 4-7+ years of hands-on Workday Financials administration
• Experience with Workday Accounting Center configuration and data source setup
• Proficiency in GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and Expenses in Workday
• Understanding of basic accounting concepts and period close processes
• Experience with Workday reporting tools (Advanced Reports, Composite Reports, BIRT)
• Workday Pro Certification in Financials (required or expected within 6 months)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to finance stakeholders
