    RN - Acute Med Surg Acute Care
    Job Details:
    Work 12-hour shifts with start times between 6:45-7:15 AM or PM
    Every other weekend schedule rotation with permanent staff
    1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio for both day and night shifts
    14-bed unit specializing in acute medical surgical care
    Care for patients with diabetes, CHF, COPD, GI bleeds, renal failure, dialysis needs, post-surgical overflow, amputations, debridements, wound care, DVTs, ETOH, and psychiatric conditions
    Administer medications including Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin
    Work with CPAP equipment and BiPAP for night shifts
    Float to other acute care and cardio units as needed
    Use MEDITECH charting system
    Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
    ACLS preferred
    2 years of acute care experience required with at least 1 travel assignment
    Must have experience with high acuity, fast-paced environments in larger organizations
    Dress code: Caribbean blue scrubs (top and bottom), white top with Caribbean blue bottom, or all white
    Strict attendance policy enforced
    No artificial or shellac nails allowed - only polished natural nails
    No bags allowed at nurses station
    3-day orientation period
    Cancellation policy allows 12 hours every 2 weeks
    Must reside outside 75-mile radius from facility
